When is the best time to visit Zurich?

Choosing the right season can make your visit to Zurich even more enchanting. Spring and summer (May to September) are the ideal months to explore the city.. During this time, the days are long and mild, the flowers are in full bloom, and the lake becomes a focal point for recreational activities.

Spring’s mild temperatures make it the ideal time to explore the old town, take boat trips on the lake and enjoy all kinds of outdoor cultural activities.

However, Zurich can be thoroughly enjoyed during the colder seasons. Its museums and galleries are cosy havens during the winter days and, during the Christmas season, the Christmas markets transform the city into a fairy tale.

In addition, there are multiple ski resorts close to the city that offer exciting opportunities for winter sports enthusiasts.
