Itinerary

Day 1: Departure > Frankfurt > Mainz

Flight from Barcelona to Frankfurt. Transfer to the city centre where we will stop in front of St. Paul’s Church for a walk through the city’s street markets to get closer to the Town Hall Square, near the Frankfurt Cathedral. There we will do the most typical thing you do when you arrive at a flea market: taste the typical sausage of the city at a market stall together with a soft drink or beer. Continue by bus to the ship, where we will board the ship.
Boarding formalities and introduction to the crew. Dinner and entertainment. Overnight on board.

Day 2: Düsseldorf

Morning sailing on the Rhine River in the Leverkusen area. We will be able to participate in the various activities and talks we have organised or simply enjoy the views from the upper deck. In the afternoon, visit of the city of Düsseldorf, capital of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, a city where the modern and the old blend in a truly special symbiosis.
Free time to explore the city’s Christmas markets. Most of them are located in the old city and each one has a different theme.
Dinner and entertainment. Overnight on board.

Day 3: Cologne

Visit of the city of Cologne, commercial reference, seat of power and pilgrimage destination.
We will take a walk around the Cathedral, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is Gothic in style and one of the tallest churches ever built.
It has an exterior inspired by French Gothic cathedrals and inside there is a reliquary that supposedly contains the mortal remains of The Three Wise Men.

We will continue our visit to the main squares, the town hall and discover the history of the creation of eau de cologne.
In the afternoon, we will have free time to discover the city’s street markets.
Dinner and entertainment. Overnight on board.

Day 4: Koblenz > Romantic Rhine > Rüdesheim

In the morning visit of the city of Koblenz, one of the most beautiful cities in Germany, situated where the waters of the Moselle River meet the Rhine.

We will take a walk through its history through the impressive monuments that the city preserves, with special emphasis on its German corner, where we will appreciate the 37-metre high figure of Wilhelm I on horseback. We will also take a stroll through its historic centre, which ends with its street markets at the town hall.

The afternoon will be spent sailing on the Romantic Rhine and discovering the Loreley Rock and its legend.

Arrival in Rüdesheim and guided evening stroll. The city is famous for its ‘international flea market’, which will delight travellers.

Farewell dinner and entertainment. Overnight on board.

Day 5: Mainz > Frankfurt > Home Town

This morning we will enjoy a visit to one of the provincial capitals during the Roman Empire. The city preserves around its Romanesque Rhenish Cathedral a series of squares and monuments that we will discover during our visit.

Its half-timbered houses and the Gutenberg Museum, where the goldsmith was born and had his workshop, are vestiges of its grandiose past. Free time in the city. Transfer to Frankfurt airport and departure flight to the city of origin.
